The Driver
Jim McKendree
As far as I can remember I have loved racing in one form or another. I have followed F1, IRL, Le Mans and NASCAR for quite sometime while always dreaming what it would be like to drive these cars. Unfortunately the town I grew up in didn’t have any auto racing outlets to get started in. So my teen years and early 20′s were dedicated to competitive snowboarding.
Colorado
Upon moving to Colorado and completing school my brother and I decided to try Karting and instantly I was addicted. After renting TAG karts a few times I realized they weren’t fast enough and it was expensive to get a small amount of track time. I made the decision to start looking for a shifter kart and get into racing when I got the best news of my life, I was going to be a daddy. So my racing dreams were put on hold.
Evo
Once I was a little more secure with work and life, I decided to look into buying an affordable performance car in the hopes of slowing turning it into a race car and competing. In 2008, after looking for a year, I bought my Evo IX and I am more addicted to driving than ever.
2010 Season
I am competing a full season in NASA Time Trials for 2010 as well as instructing NASA HPDE events. After some testing a tweaking the Evo has ended up prepped for A class.
